Xiuyuan Mi, who received her PhD from EALC in 2022, has been appointed Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Xiuyuan wrote her dissertation, "Reinventing Poetry: Popular Audiences and Polyphonic Space During the Song-Jin-Yuan Transition (1050-1300)," under the supervision of Professor Victor Mair.
