Professor Nancy Steinhardt has been named as the winner of the Alice Davis Hitchcock Book Award, established in 1949 to recognize annually the "most distinguished work of scholarship in the history of architecture published by a North American scholar. " Dr. Steinhardt received this tremendously prestigious award for her 2019 Princeton University Press book, "Chinese Architecture: A History." This is an extraordinary honor, a capstone of a lifetime of achievement in architectural history!
