Patrick Carland-Echavarria, a fourth-year PhD Candidate, was awarded a year-long Japan Foundation Fellowship, it was announced today. The Japan Foundation promotes Japanese studies around the world by providing support to preeminent scholars in the field to conduct research in Japan. Patrick will spend his next academic year at Waseda University.
